Video: Patti Rowlson answers COVID-19 marketing questions

Patti Rowlson, Bellingham PR and Communications founder and marketing director, was a panelist on the Western Washington University Small Business Development Center’s April 30 webinar related to marketing and communications during COVID-19. Patti answered questions during the hour-long session alongside Kevin Hoult and Eric Grimstead, both certified business advisers — Grimstead at the SBDC in Bellingham and Hoult in Kitsap County. CJ Seitz, director of the WWU SBDC, moderated the discussion.

The purpose of the webinar was to support Whatcom County business leaders who are proactively planning to reopen their businesses and/or resume operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the discussion, Patti answered these questions and more:

  • What are your tips surrounding reopening my business after being closed for a long period?
  • How can I communicate to my non-social media customers that we are reopen?
  • Is there a best time to post on social media? If so when is it?
  • Do you know of any online services, such as SEO tools, that could be accessed at lower rates?
